Rectangular Marquee tool:
Selects rectangular sections.
Elliptical Marquee tool:
Selects elliptical sections.
Lasso tool:
Free hand selection
Magnetic Lasso tool:
Based off of contrast, selects object that are free handed but a bit more restricted.
Polygonal Lasso tool:
A lasso tool that keeps everything done in straight lines and angles.
Magic Wand tool:
Selects objects similar in color depending on the amount of
tolerance it has. The more tolerance, more similar colors will be selected. The
less, the closer to the original color it will stay.
